திருமணம் என்பது எல்லாரோட வாழ்க்கையிலும் முக்கியமான அங்கம். ஆனால் எல்லாருடைய வாழ்க்கையும் திருப்பி போடும் பகுதியும் அதுதான். ஆண் பெண் இருவருடைய வாழ்க்கையிலும் அந்த திருமணம் மாற்றினாலும் அதிகம் பாதிக்கப்படுவர் பெண்களே.   இருந்தாலும் அனைவரும் அதற்கென்று ஒரு பல கனவை கண்டு வாழ்க்கையை ஆரம்பிப்பர். அதனைப் போல தான் நம் கதையின் நாயகன் கதிரவன் . பல கனவுகளோடு அவன் உள்ளே நுழைய,  நம் கதையின் நாயகி சாத்விகாவும் பாரதியார் கண்ட புதுமைப் பெண் போல இருப்பவள்.  எதிர்பாராத விதமாக தான் அக்காவுக்காக கதிரவனை திருமணம் செய்து கொள்கிறாள். ஆனால் அனைத்துலமே இதனை ஏன் பெண்கள் செய்ய வேண்டும் ஏன் ஆண்கள் செய்யக்கூடாது . எதற்காக ஒரு வேலையை இவர்கள் தான் செய்ய வேண்டும் என பிரிக்கிறார்கள்.  ஆண் பெண் இருவரும் சமம் என நினைக்கும் பெண். ஆனால் என்னதான் இருந்தாலும் இந்த உலகத்தில் பெண்களுக்கு என்று இருக்கும் இடமே வேற.  அப்படி இருக்கும்போது தன் கருத்தை நியாயம் எனக் கொண்டு இந்த திருமண பந்தத்தில் நுழையவும் எப்படி இருக்கும்? அவளால் அவள் கொள்கையை கடைபிடிக்க முடியுமா? அல்லது இதே போல தான் நினைத்துக் கொண்டு உள்ளே நுழைந்த பெண்களைப் போல அவளுடைய வாழ்க்கையும் அந்தக் கொள்கைக்கு சிறிதும் இடம் கொடுக்காமல் குடும்பம், சமூகம் ,கணவனின் காதல், காமம் கோபம், இதுக்கெல்லாம் சிக்கிக் கொண்டு எல்லாரைப் போல அவளின் வாழ்க்கையும் நடக்குமா? என்பதை தெரிந்துகொள்ள படியுங்க.  நம்ம கதையை எல்லாரோட தினமும் வாழ்க்கையில ஏற்படுற பிரச்சினையை தான் நம்ம கதையில பார்க்கலாம் . முடிஞ்ச அளவுக்கு அப்படித்தான் கொண்டு போவேன். சோ வாழ்க்கையோடு ஒத்துப்போன ஒரு கதை வேணும்னா கண்டிப்பா நம்ம கதையை படிக்கலாம்......
